Condensate Polishing

In condensate polishing process two main types of impurities are to be removed:

  • Suspended corrosion products
  • Dissolved ionic impurities

 

Here attributes of the resins have to adhere to strict norms in terms of:

  • Physical strength to withstand vigorous cleaning and the rigorous of hydraulic transfer during regeneration
  • Density of the resins has to be precise so that effective separation of cation andf anion resins can be realized in the column during regeneration.
  • Size and Kinetics of the resins is also important in order to prevent any challenging or flow restriction during operation.

 

All the above attributes if not strictly followed will lead to:

  • High Pressure drop during operation
  • Reduction in quality and output.

 

For higher purity of condensate and better filtration Powdex type of Tulsion® resins are used. For other purposes, Deep bed Condensate Polishers (Resins with controlled mesh size) are used.

 

Tulsion® FEATURES
T-50: Resin with controlled particle size for better separation of cation/anion in mixed-bed operatin. Used in high flow condensate polishing
T-52: High capacity resin with high cross linking. Excellent resistance to oxidizing agents. Used in multiple beds & mixed bed demineralization operating under rigorous conditions.
T-42 (MP): Macroporous resin. Excellent resistance to fouling.
T-48: For powdex type of condensate polishing
A-29: For powdex type of condensate polishing
A-21: Resin with excellent bead strength and controlled particle size. This resin can also be supplied in carbonate form.
A-21(MP): Macroporous resin with excellent bead strength and controlled particle size. This resin can also be supplied in carbonate form.
TA-100: White colured resin having density intermediate to that of cation and anionb resins which facilitates proper cation/anion separation.
